The Fairglen Eichler tract is on the National Register of Historic Places.
In the summer of 2016, a call was posted on Nextdoor for those who wanted to participate in the creation of an Eichler neighborhood preservation plan. Among those who responded, a committee was formed.
The Eichler Neighborhood Preservation Committee strives to recognize and protect the architectural characters of the Fairglen Eichler Neighborhood.
The result of this effort? We are now listed on the National Register Historic District. This listing does not impose any zoning or building restrictions, but it does solidify our place in San Jose and California history.
